About The Project
Melt Finance is described by Bitrue as a spot-trading layer connected to Hyperliquid. The main activity the guide describes is joining an Early Supporter waitlist, which is free and needs only an EVM-compatible wallet address.
An earlier version of this page implied a points airdrop. The guide says no official incentive programme had been announced as of April 2026.
Why This Airdrop Matters
The guide notes that referral links may help but that future rewards are not guaranteed. It describes no points system and no token. In other words, joining the waitlist is a free option on a possible future programme, and nothing more.
A second project causes confusion. A Bitget listing describes "Melt" as the MeltFi or Defrost Finance ecosystem, where users deposit interest-bearing assets into vaults to mint a USD-pegged stablecoin called H2O, with MELT as a governance and incentive token. It says that project runs occasional community airdrops via Telegram and Discord, with no date confirmed for a major 2026 airdrop.
It is a different protocol, so its token, price and airdrop have nothing to do with the Hyperliquid project.
The lesson applies widely: when a name is short and common, price pages and airdrop guides for another project can appear under the same search.
Supplying a wallet address to a waitlist is low risk if you use a wallet without valuable holdings, but it does link that address to your email or social account if you give those too.
A waitlist is a cheap way for a project to measure interest before deciding what to build or whether to issue a token. The number of sign-ups can be shown to investors, and a referral bonus turns sign-ups into marketing. None of that is a problem in itself, but it explains why waitlists are so common in the weeks before rumours of an airdrop.
If a project has no product you want to use, the sign-up costs you only a few minutes. If it asks for more than a public address, stop.
Participation Guide
If you join the waitlist, give only a public wallet address and never a seed phrase or private key. Use a wallet that is not tied to your main holdings. Do not follow messages that say your "Melt allocation is ready", because none exists. Confirm which Melt project you mean before looking at a token price or contract.
