About The Project
Gnosis Pay is a self-custodial payment card on Gnosis Chain. The programme is described in its help centre and in a 2024 press release.
Describing it as an airdrop is misleading, so this page corrects that.
Why This Airdrop Matters
GnosisDAO approved the proposal GIP-110 and funded a pool of 10,000 GNO. Cashback rises with the GNO held in the user's Gnosis Pay Safe, from 1% at 0.1 GNO to a 4% cap at 100 GNO, so holding 5.5 GNO gives 2.5%. Holders of the Gnosis Pay OG NFT get an extra 1%.
Cashback applies up to a monthly spending limit of EUR 20,000, USD 22,000 or GBP 18,000. The current FAQ requires an active account that is not frozen, suspended or closed, at least 0.1 GNO held during the seven days before a card payment, and compliance with the terms. Karpatkey runs the programme, and rewards are paid weekly in GNO to the Safe on Gnosis Chain.
The help centre warns that required GNO amounts can vary by programme, and the 2024 press releases describe the original terms, so check current rules there before relying on figures.
The model is a loyalty scheme with a crypto twist. Users must hold GNO to earn it, which means exposure to GNO price changes in exchange for a higher cashback rate.
Because the pool is fixed at 10,000 GNO, the programme will end or change when funding is used.
It is also worth separating the cashback from the card's other features. The card is a payment product with identity checks, fees that depend on the region and limits that apply regardless of GNO holdings. Cashback is an extra, funded by a DAO pool that can be depleted or amended, so it should not be the main reason to choose the product.
