Jupiter
ActiveJupiter has run annual "Jupuary" airdrops. The first, in early 2024, gave out nearly 1 billion JUP, and the 2025 round paid about 700 million JUP to roughly 2 million wallets.

About The Project
Jupiter is the largest swap aggregator on Solana, routing trades across venues to find good prices. Its JUP token is distributed in yearly airdrops called "Jupuary", which is why the page is marked Active: the programme has repeated, but each round has its own rules and dates.
Earlier text on this page described a continuous airdrop. The rounds are discrete events.
Why This Airdrop Matters
Coverage by The Block says the first airdrop, which concluded in early 2024, handed out nearly 1 billion JUP. A Jupiter forum post says JUP stakers received 200 million JUP from the unclaimed tokens of round one, described as compensation for staking. Trust Wallet dates that first airdrop to 1 February 2024, though we could not confirm the date. We found no official breakdown of how the 2024 round was split.
For 2025, The Block reported that nearly 700 million JUP, worth about $616 million, went to 2 million eligible user wallets on Solana. The allocation was 425 million JUP for people who had swapped tokens, with distribution based on volume tiers, and 75 million for stakers, with the remainder funding the "Carrots and Good Cats" programmes. A Jupiter forum thread analysed and proposed the distribution before it was final.
The design changed between rounds. The first rewarded broad early usage, and the second used volume tiers, which pays more to people who traded more. A volume-based system favours large traders and rewards wash trading unless filtered, so the forum discussion about the proposal is worth reading to see the trade-offs.
The best-known guide to staying safe says it plainly: real airdrops are announced on official channels, and Jupiter's first drop went to active users and not to multi-wallet farmers. That record is one reason users trust the brand, and also the reason scammers copy it.
Participation Guide
Check Jupiter's official site and forum for the next round and its rules before doing anything, since each year's terms differ. Using the aggregator is useful for price, so judge it on swap quality and fees, not on airdrop hopes. Do not sign unknown transactions to "claim" JUP, and use a separate wallet for claims. Staking JUP carries its own lock-up and governance terms, so read them first.
