About The Project

Tensor is an NFT marketplace on Solana. Its airdrop is explained in Phantom's guide, Tensor airdrop: the TNSR token guide, and in Decrypt's coverage of the token debut.

The November 2023 date in some earlier text is not supported: the airdrop launched in April 2024.

Why This Airdrop Matters

The airdrop checker opened on Monday 8 April 2024, and one source says eligible addresses could claim until 180 days from the start. Tensor said the amount received was proportional to a user's activity on the protocol during Seasons 1, 2 and 3, and that holders of the Tensorians NFT collection were entitled to an additional allocation. The initial airdrop was 125 million tokens, 12.5% of total supply, and after community feedback the minimum allocation was 420 TNSR.

Sources disagree about when Season 1 began. One says it started on 4 March 2023, when Tensor introduced a rewards initiative split across four seasons, while CoinMarketCap dates it to September 2022 and says it lasted six months, rewarding traders on Tensor and TensorSwap with treasure boxes. Season 2 lasted a year, with points for liquidity provision and more points for orders and bids closer to the floor price.

Decrypt reported that the token debuted with $640 million in trading volume. Sources urge users to check allocations only through official Tensor links, since scammers create imitation accounts to push phishing links and wallet drainers.

Rewarding bids close to the floor price was a smart design: it paid people for supplying real liquidity to the market and discouraged lowball bids that never fill. It also meant professional market makers were rewarded more than casual collectors.

The minimum of 420 TNSR, a joke number, shows the project responding to complaints that small users were getting almost nothing.

Marketplace tokens depend heavily on trading volume, and NFT volumes have been cyclical, so the value of a reward can change sharply from one season to the next. The structure of Tensor's seasons also shows how a project can tune incentives: shifting from treasure boxes to liquidity and bid-based points changed who benefited.

For anyone considering a similar programme, the practical lesson is to read the points rules before committing capital, and to assume the rules may change between seasons.

Participation Guide

The claim window has closed. If you claimed, check Tensor's documentation for staking and fee-sharing details. Treat every "TNSR claim" page with caution unless you reached it from Tensor's verified accounts, and never share a seed phrase to check an allocation. NFT trading carries its own risks, so judge the marketplace on fees and liquidity.
