About The Project
Decentraland is a virtual world where people buy land, build experiences and trade items using the MANA token. Coverage we reviewed gives MANA a total supply of about 2.19 billion, with roughly 1.9 billion circulating in 2026.
A securities.io profile lists the project's current priorities as rebuilding the desktop client, public mobile testing, creation tools and handing long-term responsibilities from the Decentraland Foundation to the community by 2030. None of the material we found mentions an airdrop.

We searched for an official MANA airdrop in 2026 and found general coverage and warnings, but no announcement from Decentraland. The earlier version of this page presented one, and that was not supported by evidence, so we removed it.
Why fake airdrops are a real danger here
In September 2023 the official Decentraland X account was briefly taken over, and the attackers posted a phishing link advertising a fake MANA airdrop. A Cointelegraph tag page also reports a PeckShield warning about an ongoing phishing attack using the same lure, though that page carries no date.
A promise of free MANA works for scammers because the token is well known and the project has a large community. A message, advert or post offering it is much more likely to be a trap than a real distribution.
How real announcements look
Genuine news appears on the official Decentraland website and its verified accounts. Even those accounts can be hacked, as 2023 showed, so confirm anything important in more than one place before you act.

Never connect a wallet to a site that promises free MANA, and never sign a transaction from a link you did not type yourself. If you already interacted with a suspicious site, move your remaining assets to a fresh wallet and revoke token approvals with a trusted approval checker.
