About The Project
MegaETH is a blockchain that aims to give Ethereum applications near real-time response. Its public mainnet launched in February 2026. The MEGA token has a fixed supply of 10 billion, and 53.3% of it is earmarked for staking rewards, per coverage we reviewed.
Earlier text called the airdrop "confirmed" and gave step-by-step instructions that may no longer apply.
Why This Airdrop Matters
How the token was tied to milestones
MegaETH did not set a fixed date. Instead it tied the MEGA release to on-chain performance conditions. The first milestone was cleared, which started a seven-day countdown to a token generation event on 30 April 2026, according to Unchained.
Where the rewards came from
The project said it would not pay for listings or run promotional airdrops to exchanges. Rewards came instead through the MEGA Sonar Bonus Pool, which paid buyers in the public sale who ranked in the top 5,000 for mainnet activity, and through the Terminal points programme, where on-chain activity earned points. A separate piece of coverage says Terminal Season 1 ran to 23 June 2026 and distributed at most 2.5% of supply.
What we cannot confirm
Our sources mostly date from before April, so they do not prove the launch happened on schedule. A headline from DEXTools mentions airdrop claims being live with a 10 June deadline, but we could not read the article. We therefore mark the programme as ended on the strength of dates, and recommend checking the project's dashboard for the true state.
For anyone who took part, the most useful lesson is how this programme was built. Rather than a snapshot of past activity, MegaETH tied rewards to ongoing on-chain behaviour and to purchases in a public sale, and tied the token release to measurable network performance. That design reduces the chance that rewards go to people who did nothing, but it also made the process complicated, with several overlapping programmes.
Anyone trying to understand their own result should look at each programme separately, since the terms differed, and should not assume a guide written before April describes what actually happened.
Participation Guide
Anyone who took part should look at MegaETH's own website and its Road to TGE dashboard to see what was allocated and whether a claim is still possible. Do not follow guides that predate the token launch, since their steps refer to a phase that is over. Staking rewards and exchange listings bring their own risks, and prices after a big airdrop are often volatile.
