Users earned WAT points through play and daily tasks, and the points were later converted to tokens. One airdrop guide says the platform gave new users a welcome bonus of 500 WAT points through its referral programme.

A Bitrue guide says the usual route to claim was the GAMEE app on Telegram through its WatDrop page. If Telegram was overloaded, it describes claiming through the TokenTable app with a TON wallet. Demand spikes at claim time, and fallback routes like this are common.

Bitget ran a launchpool in September 2024 in which users locked BTC, ETH or MOCA for a share of 1,571,000,000 WAT. The promotion started on 20 September 2024 at 10:00 UTC and ran for ten days. That was an exchange promotion, separate from the in-game airdrop.

Price reports conflict. One source says WAT rose sharply, doubled and then fell back. We have no reliable current price, and most sources are airdrop aggregators or promotional pages whose claims we could not verify.

A larger company behind a mini-game is a mixed signal. It means there is a real organisation to hold to account, but Animoca's intention to buy tokens on the secondary market is itself a market-moving statement, and not a guarantee of value.

A final practical note: tokens from big-brand mini-games often attract a wave of buyers on listing day and a wave of sellers soon after. People who sold some airdrop tokens early locked in value, while people who held for the long run mostly saw the price drift. If you still hold WAT, set a plan and a price at which you will reconsider, and avoid adding to the position because of headlines about the parent company's plans.
