Rewards Station, in late 2024, offered 570,000 EIGEN to users who locked MNT for up to 300 days. Stakers earned MNT Power points that they could allocate between prize pools, and longer locks earned more.

The Yield Lab bonus in December 2024 offered 320,000 MNT in extra quests tied to DeFi protocols that lost a community vote. It ran until 24 December 2024, and each protocol distributed between 2,000 and 20,000 MNT depending on participation.

Methamorphosis, in mid-2024, centred on mETH and the cMETH token, with points convertible into the COOK governance token. A third-party newsletter said liquidity in a mETH and stablecoin pool earned up to a 40x multiplier, lending 20x and holding on Mantle 10x, and called the final COOK payout speculative. Clearpool also paid MNT to lenders on its Mantle market in early 2024, with a 15% APR cap, using a grant from the Mantle Foundation.

A MEXC Launchpool took place in early 2025.

These programmes reward locking capital for long periods, so the true cost to a participant is the opportunity cost and the risk of being locked while the price moves.

A pattern runs through these campaigns: each asked users to hold or lock MNT or mETH for a period in exchange for points or partner tokens. That can be reasonable, but the reward is paid in a different asset from the one locked, so the net result depends on prices of both. Readers should also note that points converted to a governance token such as COOK are not guaranteed until the team publishes conversion terms.
