About The Project

Why This Airdrop Matters
Season 1 distributed 7% of REZ's total supply to more than 103,500 eligible users who held a minimum of 360 ezPoints before an updated snapshot on 26 April. Claims were moved up from 2 May to 30 April after community pushback and an ezETH depeg, and points holders could claim one hour before Binance Launchpool participants. Users had 30 days to claim, after which unclaimed tokens were added to Season 2, which was set at 5% of supply.
Vesting differed by size. Sources conflict on the threshold: one says wallets with more than 500,000 ezPoints unlocked only 50% of their airdrop value, while another cites whales holding more than 50,000 ezPoints. The remainder vested over three months in both accounts.
The market reaction was poor. REZ debuted on Binance and dropped sharply; one report says it fell from a high of $0.2638 to $0.1604 after listing. Critics also pointed out that the claim date fell after the token generation event, which let Binance Launchpool participants trade before airdrop recipients could.
The ezETH depeg is the underlying story. Renzo's liquid restaking token lost its peg to ETH after the REZ tokenomics were disclosed, as Forklog and The Defiant reported, and the team updated airdrop terms in response. It showed that the token a protocol gives you as a deposit receipt can fall below the value of the ETH inside it when many people sell at once.
