About The Project
The Sandbox is a user-generated metaverse with its own SAND token, LAND parcels and seasonal events called Alpha Seasons. Information comes from a Business Wire release on Season 4, AFK Gaming and Games.gg.

Why This Airdrop Matters
Season 3, in 2022, paid up to 180 SAND to LAND owners compared with up to 500 SAND for Alpha Pass holders, per a single secondary source. The top players on the leaderboard shared 1.5 million SAND ranked by Ethos Points, and guaranteed rewards went to SAND stakers and owners of LAND, avatars and NFT collections.
Season 4, in 2024, offered a reward pool worth more than $2.5 million in SAND. The press release says LAND owners also get unique benefits during the season but does not specify them in the excerpt. Season 5 reported a pool of up to $1 million in SAND and NFTs over six weeks, with no LAND-specific payout described.
These are play-and-complete rewards, so the amount depends on time spent and ranking, and most players receive far less than the headline pool.
I could not confirm the terms of the most recent season, and I found no airdrop for LAND holders as such.
LAND owners may still receive season perks, so the useful check is each season's own announcement.
Because seasons run for a limited time and rules change each year, the best way to follow The Sandbox is to read the announcement for each season rather than relying on summaries. Pool sizes quoted in dollars can also move with the SAND price, so the same headline number can be worth very different amounts when the rewards are actually paid.
