About The Project
ZetaChain is a blockchain designed to connect other blockchains, so that one application can control assets on several networks. Its ZETA airdrop is described by Forklog and airdrop trackers.
We found no "Season 1" or "Season 2" structure, which earlier versions of this page implied. The documented airdrop is the Genesis one.
Why This Airdrop Matters
Points earned on the testnet set the allocations, and users collectively earned 68 billion ZETA points. A snapshot was taken on 20 August 2023, and users needed over 50,000 points to qualify. Payouts ranged from 50 ZETA to 20,000 ZETA depending on points. Users checked eligibility on the ZetaHub pre-claim portal and then claimed through the ZetaChain claim portal after the mainnet launch. One guide says claimants might have to complete KYC onboarding to claim.
AirdropAlert lists the claim as closed, and that is a third-party report, so check ZetaHub or ZetaChain's official channels for any current position.
A separate event is easy to confuse with it. A Bitget Wallet Task2Get campaign distributed 351,400 ZETA, valued at about $597,380, to 7,476 users, and that was Bitget's own promotion, not the official airdrop.
The KYC step is unusual and worth thinking about. It limits fake accounts and may reflect legal advice, but it also means claimants hand over identity documents to claim a token, which is a privacy cost that a simple wallet signature does not impose.
The point threshold of 50,000 shut out many casual testers, and payouts from 50 to 20,000 show a wide spread between the smallest and largest recipients.
Cross-chain projects face a particular security burden, because moving assets between networks has been one of the most exploited parts of crypto. The airdrop was a way to bring users to a new network, but the underlying risk is in the bridging layer and the contracts that connect the chains.
Anyone who took part should check the project's audit reports and incident history instead of relying on token incentives alone, and should keep exposure proportionate to what they could afford to lose.
Participation Guide
The Genesis claim has closed. If you claimed, check ZetaChain's documentation for staking and governance terms. Be careful with any site that asks you to submit identity documents for a ZETA claim unless you reached it from the official ZetaChain channels, since fake KYC pages are used to steal identity data. Keep Bitget's campaign separate in your mind from the official airdrop.
