About The Project

ZKFair is a zero-knowledge Layer 2 whose tokenomics were described by HackerNoon as giving 100% of supply to the community. Supply was 10 billion ZKF.

We found no June 2024 airdrop, which an earlier version of this page suggested.

Why This Airdrop Matters

The claim period ran from 11:00 on 1 January 2024 to 11:00 on 11 January 2024 (UTC+8). Of the supply, 2.5 billion ZKF was airdropped to the community, and the remaining 7.5 billion was to be generated entirely through "gas fee airdrops" after the mainnet launch. Eligible users were those who had interacted with other zero-knowledge Layer 2 networks, including Polygon zkEVM, zkSync, Scroll, Linea and zkSpace, in the previous two months, as well as holders of Lumoz Loyalty Points.

Tokens left unclaimed were destroyed. One report puts the amount at 130 million ZKF, worth more than $2.2 million at the time, and the team said it would not mint additional ZKF in future.

The "100% to the community" claim needs unpacking. The 7.5 billion share was not distributed at once but generated as users paid gas fees, which means the team and operators of the chain received the fees paid for it, and anyone running the network earned from the activity. The "fair" label describes the starting allocation, not who profits from the system over time.

Basing eligibility on activity on rival Layer 2 networks was an acquisition strategy: it rewarded people who had already shown they use similar chains and invited them to switch.

If you are comparing airdrops, the clearest test is how much of the supply the team and operators keep. A project can say it airdropped 100% while still earning from gas fees, operating the sequencer and deciding how the remaining supply is released. Read the tokenomics page and the chain's fee model together before accepting any claim of total fairness, and notice who controls the system that generates the gas fee airdrops.

Participation Guide

The airdrop window closed on 11 January 2024, and unclaimed tokens were destroyed, so there is no later claim. If you see a ZKFair claim page dated June 2024 or later, treat it as a likely scam and check the official channels. If you hold ZKF, check how the gas-fee distribution works and who receives it before assuming the supply story is complete.
