About The Project
CARV is a data layer project. Its Data-to-Earn campaign lets users authorise personal data to bind to a CARV ID and opt in to sharing, then claim $SOUL rewards daily. According to a guide on UseTheBitcoin, $SOUL is an eligibility token, and along with a .play name service and soulbound tokens, it is redeemable and convertible to CARV's governance token at the token generation event.
Sources disagree on that governance token's name: some say $CARV, others say $ARC.
Why This Airdrop Matters
A 2024 guide says users could claim once a day on each chain, across Ronin, opBNB, zkSync and Linea, with gasless mining on Ronin. A Season 1 report describes a snapshot covering Dragon Treasure, Pass NFT holders, Badge holders and users of the play name service, with a separate snapshot for node holders at midnight UTC on 7 October, though it gives no year.
The numbers are unreliable. One source says total supply is 1 billion, unlocked over four years from the token generation event, with 24% for the community. Another report describes 10% of total supply for airdrops. They do not match and the dates are unclear.
Most of the coverage dates from 2024, and we found none from 2026, so the status of the claim period, the token ticker and the TGE are unconfirmed.
Data-sharing campaigns raise a privacy question that most airdrops do not. You are being asked to link personal data to an identity in return for a possible reward. That data may be valuable, and it cannot be taken back once shared.
The privacy side of this campaign is the part most people skip. A reward for sharing data is a trade, and the price you are paid should be measured against what the data is worth to whoever receives it and what could happen if it were leaked. Because the sources are two years old, we do not know how the programme's data terms have changed since.
Anyone returning to an old CARV ID should reread the current terms, revoke permissions they no longer want to give, and check which wallets are linked.
Participation Guide
Before taking part in any data-to-earn scheme, read what data is collected, who can use it and whether you can delete it. Consider whether the reward is worth sharing it. If you already hold SOUL or related NFTs, check the official CARV site for the current conversion status rather than trusting guides from 2024. Beware of claim sites that copy the CARV name.
