About The Project

chainEDGE is a platform from the Onchain Wizard newsletter for tracking the activity of so-called smart money on EVM chains and Solana. Version 3.0 was announced as its most significant upgrade, according to a post on Substack.

It is an analytics tool, which is a different category from a protocol that issues a token.

Why This Airdrop Matters

Searching for an airdrop turned up nothing for chainEDGE. The release post mentions no token, no points and no distribution. The earlier version of this page presented it as an airdrop, and we have corrected that.

The search results did surface several projects with similar names. Definitive's EDGE token had its own airdrop with a claim deadline of 1 May 2025. LayerEdge ran an incentivised testnet where users earned EDGE points by running light nodes and completing tasks. edgeX's airdrop drew criticism over how it was distributed. None of these is chainEDGE, and mixing them up could send you to the wrong claim page.

What do analytics tools like this offer? They try to identify wallets with a record of profitable trades and show what they are buying. That can be useful for research, but it has limits. A wallet's past success may not repeat, large holders can move markets to mislead followers, and by the time a trade is visible on-chain the price may already have moved.

If you want to use the tool, treat its output as one input among several and not as a signal to copy.

A final check is worth making whenever a name contains the word EDGE: at least four unrelated projects use it, and each has its own token, deadline and claim page. Searching by contract address, not by name, is the safest habit. If a site promises an EDGE reward and does not state which project it belongs to, assume it is a trap, and do not sign anything until you can name the issuer.

Participation Guide

If someone offers you a "chainEDGE token" or airdrop, treat it as a scam, since none exists. Pay attention to the name of whichever EDGE project you actually mean and check its own channels. Subscriptions and paid tiers for analytics products should be judged on what they deliver, so read the terms before paying and avoid sending crypto to anyone who is not on the official site.
