Why This Airdrop Matters

The points season

A whitepaper dated 19 January 2026 set Season 1 to close on 12 April 2026, with the token to be created before then. Points were distributed weekly at 10 million GP, allocated retroactively based only on spot trading volume. CryptoRank lists the airdrop as distributed with a reward date of 13 April 2026, a day off the season end, so treat that as approximate.

Rounds that followed

HackerNoon covered the lead-up to a TGE on 13 April. Later, Binance named Genius Terminal its 65th HODLer Airdrop, sending 10 million GENIUS to BNB holders who used Simple Earn or On-Chain Yields between 11 and 13 May 2026. MEXC separately ran an Airdrop+ campaign from 14 to 28 April 2026 with 45,000 USDT in rewards across deposits, spot, futures and referrals.

What is missing

We did not find an official claim allocation or a final conversion rate from points to tokens, and most of the sources are promotional or aggregators. The exchange promotions are the exchanges' own, with their own rules.

The weighting here was unusually plain: points came only from spot trading volume, and they were allocated retroactively. That means a user who traded a lot in a short time collected the same weekly share as one who had traded steadily, and wash trading was the obvious risk. Projects sometimes respond by filtering suspicious activity, which can remove points from legitimate users caught by the filters.

If you believe your allocation was cut, the project's official support channel is the right place to ask, and not a stranger offering a fix.

Participation Guide

Because the season is over, the practical question is what to do if you traded during it. Check Genius Terminal's official channels for any remaining claim path, and confirm the GENIUS contract from them. Trading volume was the only qualifying activity, so people who traded to qualify paid fees that the token has to outweigh. Treat further promotions as separate bets, each with its own cost.
