Skrice Studios said 100,000 players qualified for the airdrop, with up to 6,250,000 tokens claimable, 2.5% of the 250 million total supply. The Mavia Pioneer Airdrop Program let players who downloaded the game before the token launch join, and the launch was set for 6 February. Owners of Ethereum land plots and people who took part in NFT staking programmes from early 2022 also received a share.

Decrypt reported that the token debuted on Ethereum, and listings were reported on Bybit, KuCoin, HTX and MEXC. Binance appears only as an investor, through a Binance Labs seed round, and not as a listing venue. A newsletter reported that the token fell 64% in one day after the airdrop.

At 100,000 players sharing 6.25 million tokens, the average share is small, about 62 tokens each. Early downloaders and land holders probably received more than the average.

Rewarding game downloads can attract many players who leave once the reward is received.

Mobile games can reach a very large number of players quickly, which is why headline counts of 100,000 qualifying players are common. The harder question is how many remain active months later, since a game's token depends on continued play. When judging a similar programme, look for data on retention, not just downloads, and read the unlock schedule for team and investor tokens.
