About The Project
Monad is a high-performance Layer 1 blockchain compatible with Ethereum applications. Its MON airdrop is described by The Block, which reported that claims opened on 14 October 2025 as the mainnet launch approached.
Earlier text on this page described a points airdrop. The actual distribution worked differently.
Why This Airdrop Matters
The Monad Foundation allocated tokens to about 5,500 members of the Monad community and nearly 225,000 members of the wider crypto community. Recipients included users of major DeFi protocols and holders of popular Ethereum NFT collections, such as CryptoPunks, Azuki, Moonbirds, Pudgy Penguins and Meebits, based on a 30 September snapshot. Decrypt also reported that the airdrop was opened to Solana users.
Claims ran through claim.monad.xyz, and one guide describes connecting an EVM wallet and signing in with Privy, then linking verified social accounts on X, Discord and Telegram to confirm community participation. Tokens were claimable but not transferable until the token generation event, which was expected to coincide with the mainnet launch after the window closed on 3 November.
The design is worth noting. Tying eligibility to a wallet snapshot taken before announcement meant people could not farm it after the fact, and tying it to verified social accounts raised the bar against bots. It also meant that many people received nothing, since being an NFT holder or a DeFi user was not enough without a verified identity link.
The Foundation warned about scams before the portal launched, and one guide stressed phishing links and fake claim sites. We found no sources describing the mainnet launch or token trading, so we cannot say how the token has performed.
A final practical point is timing. A claim window of three weeks left little room for people who were travelling or who learned of the airdrop late, and that is typical of recent large drops. Anyone expecting to receive an airdrop from a major launch should enable official notifications on the project's verified accounts well before the date.
Participation Guide
If you claimed, follow the official Monad channels for how and when your tokens can be moved, and check any link against the one on the official site. If you missed the window, there is no later claim in our sources, and anyone offering one is likely a scammer. Linking social accounts to a wallet creates an identity trail, so consider which accounts you used and what permissions they hold.
