Sui

Three groups were named. Capy Holidays Wave 1 winners were contacted directly under the competition terms. Champions, recognised for direct contributions, were to receive a grant of SUI after mainnet. Supporters, which included Sui Discord members who joined before 1 February 2023 and winners of the Frenemies Competition, were given instructions to buy SUI in a recognition sale.

That sale was run on KuCoin and OKX, US citizens and residents were not eligible, and buyers had to complete exchange registration and verification by 24 April 2023. So the programme rewarded the right to buy at a set price, not a free token.

This distinction matters. A free airdrop carries no cost, but a discounted sale needs capital and carries price risk, so supporters had to decide whether to spend money. Calling it an airdrop, as many sites did, set false expectations.

Several low-quality sites promised "Sui airdrops" for particular wallet actions, with different claim URLs. None of those claims is supported by the foundation's announcements, and they are the kind of pages scammers copy.

If you read older guides on this subject, check each claim against the foundation's own words before accepting it. Sites that rank for the word airdrop often repeat each other, and some were written to sell referral links or to harvest wallet connections. A short list of named groups and a published deadline is the sign of a genuine programme; vague promises of passive rewards are not.
