About The Project

Arena, formerly Stars Arena, is a SocialFi platform on Avalanche where people trade access to profiles. Its ARENA token is the governance and utility token, and Coinranking says it launched through an airdrop to early community participants and trades on Trader Joe on Avalanche.

Do not confuse it with Arena-Z, a web3 gaming platform with a different token.

Why This Airdrop Matters

Decrypt reported that Arena tracked user stats, in a way similar to Blur's points system, to decide airdrop eligibility, counting referrals, trading and general activity. The size of the airdrop was unclear at that stage. Coin-Turk later reported that each user would receive 69 ARENA tokens per airdrop point, with more than 100,000 users holding a combined 37,120,167 points. The airdrop was aimed at early buyers of profile tickets. The token was due to launch in the week of 10 June 2023.

Coinranking describes ARENA as a governance and utility token whose stakers earn "Arena Champion" status and boosted airdrop weights. The Block's research reports that 2.5% of each graduating token's supply goes to Arena Champions, meaning users who stake ARENA. One source says only 10% of all airdropped ARENA was distributed initially.

Do the sums: 37,120,167 points at 69 ARENA each is about 2.56 billion ARENA, which shows why the size of the supply and the vesting schedule mattered more than the points.
